hair pomade

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 oz beeswax

  • 1.5 oz organic, unrefined shea butter

  • 2 oz almond oil

  • Young Living essential oils of choice (I used 10 drops each Tea Tree, Lavender, and Cedarwood)

  • Clean and empty container 

  1. Pour some water into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer and place a heat proof bowl over the top.

  2. Melt the beeswax fully in the heat proof bowl and then add the shea butter. Once the shea butter is melted, remove from heat and add the almond and essential oils.

  3. Pour the hot pomade into a clean jar with a lid.

 

You will need to let the pomade harden.  The surface will appear fully hardened while the underneath is still liquid – I couldn’t resist touching it and left a lovely dent in ours.  I regret nothing….

 

beard oil

Supplies Needed:

  • 1 oz dropper bottle

  • 7 ml jojoba oil

  • 3 ml grapeseed oil

  • 3 drops Young Living Cedarwood 

  • 3 drops Young Living Bergamot

  • 2 drops Young Living Peppermint

Combine all ingredients and apply 2x daily.  Precise measuring not necessary:​

Fill about 2/3 of the container with jojoba oil and top off with grapeseed, leaving room for the essential oils and dropper.

 

SHOE AND FOOT POWDER

  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • 10-20 drops Young Living Tea Tree essential oil

  • 10-20 drops Young Living Purification essential oil

  1. Combine all ingredients in jar, container, or silicone bag of your choice. 

  2. Sprinkle amount needed directly onto feet after bath or shower, and directly into shoes for fresher, no-fungus feet!

 

BUBBLE BATH

  • 1 cup castile soap

  • ½ cup vegetable glycerin

  • 2 Tablespoons water

  • 6 drops of any Young Living essential oil

Combine all ingredients and store in mason jar, or double the recipe and store in empty Ninxia Red bottle, wine bottle, or corked bottle from the dollar store.

 

Use any oils you have on hand, or choose from our favorite essential oils for baths:

 

Winter

Black Pepper – warms the body and soothes muscles

Cypress – helps with circulation

Lavender – calming for nighttime

Thieves – an infusion of immunity

 

Summer

Cool Azul – cools the body and soothes muscles

Lavender – skin soother after sunny days

Northern Lights Black Spruce – grounding and centering

Surrender – soak up the aroma of letting it all go
